Monthly Musing: May

Salam everyone,

At the moment this post is published, I will be somewhere doing a booth for I.A. Designs and Surreal Writers. The second one for the month of May. Woo...!

How is it like doing booth, you ask...

Hmmm...

Tiring! Which is the same to every aspect of any job. Most of the experience of booth-ing is pretty alright. The only setback is when I have to pack up and clean up after an event. It is the most gruelling part of the process. At the end of an event, everybody is tired and rushing to leave the area as there is a time limit. It gets pretty crazy. But that is usually not the end. I will still need to unpack at home and then pack again for the next event. It is like washing clothes and then the folding clothes part will take a few days kind of situation.

Then why do I do this to myself?

WHO knows? I am probably a glutton for punishment. BUT seriously, I love doing booth and running my own businesses. Both I. A. Designs and Surreal Writers are my greatest work passion. Like any other job, it is not possible to love everything about it. There are things that we will despise doing. But the pros definitely outweigh the cons.

I met so many amazing people ever since I started my own businesses and managing booths. Dedicated and passionate business owners. Awesome customers who will come again and again to support us. And creating our own personal tribe.

I hope this little insight shows you that running a business is pretty much like any other job. May Allah eases our journey in whatever we pursue. May our path be filled with bountiful rezeki. Aamin...
