Alhamdulillah... we are a month in 2025. How are you doing so far?


As many say, January should be a trial month and 2025 should really start on 1st February. I feel it should be a trial month as we need to navigate through some new changes and it takes time to get into a new routine. But life does not work that way.


I am sure many of you have created goals for yourself at the beginning of the month. Don't be devastated if you have trouble following through. It has only been a month. You have 11 more to achieve your goals. Even small steps in the direction you want to be should always be considered a win and not a failure in reaching your goals.


Every year, I am always reminded to include health as one of my main goals. Of course, losing the extra EXTRA weight I have is a priority. Starting a good exercise routine has been a major sore pain for me. I don't even want to talk about it. So instead, I took other approaches to my health while I figure that part out. Last year, I made appointments to go for my pap smear, mammogram and do a health check. Just to see where I am at. I followed through with the appointments even though it was scary. Alhamdulillah, the results were better than expected. But I have to make sure that I continue to do the check up regularly.


This year, I hope to be more mindful with what I eat. Tricky goal. Maybe I will start cutting down on sweet stuffs first. A near impossible task. But let me try and see what happens.
