The future... Seems a bit weird to be talking about the future... It feels a bit hard to make plans for the future with the pandemic on us. You can't make plans in advance because things change so ferociously. One week, you can dine in with your family. The next, you have to be stuck at home.
Still, it is nice to dream and make plans because who knows, we may make it out of this pandemic sooner than expected. I will break this into 2 parts: Future for myself and Future for Surreal Writers.
Myself
I don't have big plans for myself. Simple plans. To be happy and at peace. Do what I can to enrich my life for myself, my family and friends. At my age, quality time with loved ones are important. My parents are getting older. My siblings will get married and have their own family. My friends are busy with their commitments.
So whatever time we have left together are so precious and so limited. Knowing that at any point, we may have to live our lives without one another. So my future is all about working towards my loved ones.
I am also striving to make myself happy. Remove the unnecessary drama and toxic elements in my life. I try not to be as hot-tempered as I was when I was younger. Of course, trying to be wiser as the minutes go by.
Once and if the pandemic ends, travelling is definitely part of the plans in the future. Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, here I come... For now, I am praying that all will be well everywhere.
Surreal Writers
Aidah and I are pretty chill when it comes to the plans for Surreal Writers.We discuss a lot of ideas for the future all the time. We have pending books on our end that we would like to release soon. But we are very go with the flow kind of people and truthfully, we are quite busy currently to actually release everything. Though one book will be release by this year insha Allah.
Whatever it is, I know Surreal Writers will be here for a long time. You will see new things from both of us together and separately. It is really something we look forward to.
The future... it is really unpredictable. Still it is nice to make plans, isn't it?
