I dedicated this poem to my husband. My first published poem for him in my first published poetry book. Since this month is our wedding anniversary, I would like to share more about the story behind this poem.

I didn't expect my husband at all. He came into my life and decided that we should get married. However, we are very different in so many ways. But being the calming force that he is, he made sure that we are similar in so many ways. In a world where I am skeptical, he made it possible.

After being married for some time, we managed to overcome the toughest challenges. I am grateful that I have him as my partner. I pray that we will be together till Jannah. Aamiin...

May all marriages be filled with Mawaddah, Sakinah and Rahmah! Aamiin!
