It is a little too late for me to be talking about dream job. Still, a girl can dream and I have to write this post.
When I was younger... way, way younger... I wanted to be a scientist. But my science was so-so especially when I entered secondary school. So that was out the window. Then I wanted to be a doctor. I realised I couldn't deal with the cutting and sewing of body parts. So being a doctor cross off my list.
The one job I had my heart set on even till today is being an architect. I don't know when I develop a fondness for buildings. One day, I was looking at a floor plan and I just knew that I would like to make one. When I see a building or a house, I will wonder how it look like inside. How every room is placed. How the columns play a part in making the building solid.
And the money an architect makes seems so nice!!!
After secondary school, I wanted to pursue architecture. But my parents didn't allow me to. It seems that being an architect is not suitable for me, especially in this country. So the dream died. Before it even begun.
Of course I imagine what could have been. I probably be overseas doing some buildings somewhere or maybe not. Anyway, it didn't happen and it was a job that I dream of. That's it.
Now and then, I watch documentaries on unique houses and how they build them. And even though I am not part of that world, I enjoy watching them and seeing the beauty in the buildings others created.
So my dream job was an architect. What's yours? Share below!
